Jared Quayle visited the Kruger Park for the first time at age 7 and immediately fell in love with this pristine wilderness. British Journalist and author Brian Jackman is quoted as saying: “Africa changes you forever like nowhere on earth, once you have been there you will never be the same.” This sentiment rang true for Jared as he would visit the park regularly with his family - a pilgrimage which would bud into a full-blown passion and love of conservation. Through Quail Trails his desire is to share his love of the park by offering a luxury game viewing experience in quality Open Safari Vehicles with experienced Game Rangers who grew up in the region.
As you share in the beauty of the Kruger, we are sure that your first experience of this beautiful nature reserve will be as breathtaking as his first visit.

OUR GENESIS
HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR TRIP TO THE KRUGER
Malaria warning
The Kruger National Park is situated in a Malaria area with highest risk period being between October and May. However, this should not deter you from visiting this beautiful park.
Precautions should be taken to minimise risk. It is suggested that you chat to your doctor about effective Malaria prophylactic medication that
would further reduce the risk of contracting Malaria.
What to wear?
October through to April are the warmest months in the Kruger. Wearing cotton or soft breathable fabrics and shorts (during the day) will be the most comfortable attire. It’s advisable to always have a light raincoat during these months.
During May through to September, the mornings and evenings can be chilly, and a jacket is recommended but the days, usually, are quite pleasant and warm. Warm jackets, beanies and scarves are strongly recommended for morning and evening safari drives from June to August.
